Captain Shawn
Captain Shawn Matthew was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and has been fishing just about his whole life. At a very young age he was a natural, learning how to catch, clean and cook just about every freshwater fish from Louisiana.
In 1993 he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and become a fighter aircraft mechanic where he served for 21 years and traveled to many different parts of the world. In 1997 after serving 3 yrs in Germany he was PCS'd to Eglin AFB, FL where he revisited his passion for fishing, but this time it would be Saltwater that would capture his heart.
Captain Shawn is well versed in bottom fishing, targeting Snapper, Grouper, Trigger, Tile fish, and many other species of the Gulf of Mexico. He also enjoys catching Mahi-Mahi, King Mackerel, Tuna, and Wahoo.
